God, Guns & Gasoline

The Story

The game takes place in a fictitious Sweden in a not to distant future. After a hard collision between the Center Party and the rest of the coalition government, the Scania region breaks free from the Swedish state. With the diligence of fanatical nationalists Scania manages to establish a sovereign region. Sweden is unprepared for this turn of events and cannot prevent it, essentially all Swedish military personnel is abroad on peace keeping missions.

Shortly thereafter the neighboring region of Småland is plagued by religious civil war. Pentecostalists against Lutherans, Jehovahs Witnesses against The Word of Life, Småland is in flames.

That which remains of Sweden is struggling with civil unrest and huge economic problems on a regional level. The resources need to regain the Scania and Småland regions just isn’t available in country.

The Time is Now

Outside the city of Nässjö a group of Snapphane rebels has decided to expand their breathing space but have hit a hurdle in the shape of The Lords Army. The UN security council has issued a resolution sending a NATO force to the region to cool down the situation after desperate cries for help from the disarrayed Swedish government. Today all signs points toward the grim turn of events that the battle for the south of Sweden will be fought in the dark forests of Småland.

Factions

The event is split between 4 parties. Below you can find a short description of each faction and an approximation what you can expect from playing in that faction.

The Scania Snapphane Guard

Skånska Snapphanegardet

Hard core nationalists in M90 camouflage who after the break from Sweden have decided to annect parts of the Smålandish forest.

Equipment: Swedish M90 camouflage mixed with civilian and Swedish surplus clothing. At least one visible item of M90 patterned clothing must be worn. Mixed weapons.

Level: High. Completely autonomous group, no base camp, count on having to carry around most of what you need for a 48 hour game on your person. 30-50% action, 50-75% role playing and 50-75% tasks/problem solving.

The Lords Army

Herrens Armé

God fearing warriors form the Swedish bible belt and the city of Jönköping. Does not tolerate the attempts of occupation from the Snapphane movement.

Equipment: Mixed. No modern stuff like CIRAS, RIS, etc. These are yokels in trainers and farmers attire, maybe mixed up with some foreign surplus uniform items. Mixed weapons.

Level: High. Completely autonomous group, no base camp, count on having to carry around most of what you need for a 48 hour game on your person. 30-50% action, 50-75% role playing and 50-75% tasks/problem solving.

NSFORSCA (Nato Stabilization Force Scandinavia)

Russia
The peace keeping force has a lot on it’s hands. Not only are the local militias trying to conjure new and elaborate ways to slaughter each other; there are convoys that need escorting, VIP’s to protect and miles of roads to patrol.

Although these are hard times, there is always time for BBQ, beach volleyball and sunbathing in the NATO camp.

Equipment: Modern NATO only; US, UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, etc. Weapons according to uniform and gear.

Level: High. With a permanent base life gets a little easier, food is served and a tent space is guaranteed. On the other hand, base life demands things like guard, patrol and QRF duty. 20-40% action, 60-80% role playing and 40-60% tasks/problem solving.

Russian Peace Keeping Force/VDV

Russia
Putins loyal lackeys also has a presence in the area. They are on the hunt for international terrorists and won’t leave anything to chance (read NATO). With a force of their own in the area they will make sure that no terrorist gets a good nights sleep.

Equipment: Russian or client state.

Level: High. Early evenings, early mornings and a semi-permanent base. The chance to perform an assassination or two has a strong probability. 30-50% action, 50-75% role playing and 50-75% tasks/problem solving.
