History

In the ancient days (2002 to be exact) the game “Operation: Frost” was organized on short notice by Ztripez and Silencer. They had found a perfect airsoft game area outside the city of Borås; Bockaby MOUT trainging facility. Around fourty very cold people attended the game that soon became a success. A few months later the gentlemen came back to the area for “Operation: Frost II”, this time with significally more players (a grand total of 129). The next fall the non-profit association OPF was founded, it’s core member group of engaged airsoft enthusiasts wanted to organize bigger and more intense games and so “Operation: Frost III” was born. The event had around 240 participants was split into different scenarios with clear breaks inbetween. Many players remember scenarios such as “Mambo Wars” and “Capture the Flag” at Bockaby during the cold fall day. Next year came the climax, the event that would come to be the trendsetter for Swedish airsoft games: “Operation: Fros IV”. The 400 tickets sold out in 49(!) minutes and when it all was over, a bit over 400 players and fought for the control over the missle and finally succeeded in launching it.

Because of some economic problems the OPF association and it’s signature series of events, “Operation: Frost” went into hibernation after the fourth event in the series. The interest for organizing great airsoft games lived on among the members and in November 2003 the Milsim Association, it’s purpose to promote milsim and airsoft in Sweden and to organize high quality airsoft games. Pretty much all the “Operation: Frost” veterans are active in the group today.
